I definitely have had some funny conversations with the boys that I teach. Mostly one in particular, but all of them have given me a good laugh.
However, in my first visit with my newest student, I knew that he would top all laughs. As I arrived to the farm that I would be teaching at, I was met immediately by a 6 year old boy. His first concern was that their was not enough horses for everyone, and had I brought one for him. I smiled and said, "Of course, I brought one for you."
He looked back at my trailer, and asked me quickly, "do I need to go get him out of the box". I smiled and said, "No, lets just wait a minute and I will help you get him out of the trailer".
He waited patiently, I opened the door, and he exclaimed, " WOW!!! Thats mine" I laughed as I unloaded Gunny who is an outstanding 16.1 hand horse. I handed the lead rope off to him, showed him how to lead him, and the first thing he told me is "if its okay with you I will just walk him around and talk to him. I said "sure".
As he walks off, I hear him say, as he places his hand on gunnys jaw and looks at him, " dude, you look just like my teddy bear."
How cute is that?
